Q: How can a Christian avoid being a doormat for other people?
A: By sinning. There is no other way to look at it. Not if you see the Cross. If you are involved with pepole you will get stommed on.... Wait.. You?. The Christian life involves: ministry, outreach, and relationships.... The fruit is great but it costs, it drains, and invokes feelings of being made bankrupt. Making time for relationships with those you like and with those you think are an auhhh........ well never mind (mean folk). We making time for, relationships - sigh. We befriend the giving/goodlooking rich lady and the pedophile. We give, we bleed, we find canceruse levels empathy. But the Cross. Do you see HIM there? We say christ's sake like we say the f-word. We don't want HIM! Brushing things off our sholders makes a great meme but beating someone who needs one - now that's fun. And wrong. Sigh. See that Cross. They pulled out HIS beard. We even think a beard is gross. "Christian" means Christlike. (Originaly a Roman soldiers virtion of our Bitch etc.) He said I am HE and men of war fell out. HE went with them. GOD owes me NOTHEN. Sure. With out HIM: I'm trusted more... and less trustworthy. So we are forgiven of all this cool, fun, easy, sin fun things. We find ourself helping others. And we find ourselfs helping others to help others... Together. In one accord? One accord with that auhh.. ok never mind again. So "How can they do this or that". "So ungreatful". "After all I did for and they.." Well how about this: "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender". Proverbs 22:7 or how about Matthew 6:24, but, lets cut off "the love of money". I mean keep the context but... I think it's more than a money lesson: "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other..." "And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners,’ expecting to be repaid in full". Luke 6:34 WOW Wasn't expecting to find that! Dare we say: If among you, one of your brothers in good standing should become poor, within any of your 20min radiouse that the Lord your God has put you in, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother unless he is a fool, a drunkerd or on meth, 8 but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for either a selfie on your FB or his need, whatever it may be. NO! YOU NUTS? It reads: “If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, 8 but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be." Deuteronomy 15:7-8 Lets “turn the other cheek” (Matthew 5:39) and to “do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:27). I forgot one..... the Christian life involves reconciliation. This post isn't about helping anyone. This post is about hurting..... about what is called Friendly Fire. The following band is interesting. The lead once told a story about being a school boy when the soldgers came to the school and ordered the kids to spit on a photo of The Christ. When a 6year old wouldn't they blew her head off right there. Then he talks about old ladys forcing their bodys into wheelwells of cop cars to keep the poice from taking their pastor. When the band came to the States a show got canseled. Why? Cuz one of the bands had a dove on his lappel. The show was at a church. OK so here is. The end of my post where I build you up and tell you know how wonderful things are and the walk in CHRIST is the best - and it is. But the.. see your bleeding out. Might want to get that looked at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otgQpNLTxWY
